  Mid-Atlantic Working Connections 2009

MAWC 2009 will not be holding an on-campus event this year.  As you are all very aware budgets across the community are tight. Although we have funds available to leverage and reduce conference fees, as we have in all the past conferences, we cannot get over the hurdles of multi-state travel restrictions or our communities pull back of spending.

We are exploring other options including leveraging the distance learning infrastructure at RU and will send an email to all past attendees shortly if this becomes a reality.

About MAWC - The MAWC community has reached a critical mass of members, content, and history providing the environment for faculty to exchange ideas.  For all these reasons and more, we have created this site as the online community of practice for our members.

The Mid-Atlantic Working Connections (MAWC) jointly sponsored by Central Piedmont Community College and Radford University's College of Science and Technology is designed as the integration point to foster capacity building and systemic change in higher education.  At the core MAWC is a community of faculty across the mid-Atlantic region dedicated to working together to develop new curriculum, share best practices, and provide professional development. Each year MAWC establishes an Advisory Board to guide the program.

If you would like to participate in MAWC 2009 on the Advisory Board, please send an email to Michael Peterson, This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
